Return to normality

Arrives this morning, school resumes, not before time, the girls were both getting bored and missing the daily interaction with friends.

We had a great night last night with some of our neighbours, a day spent in a hot kitchen & we were sitting down to dine on cajan spiced tiger prawns, beef wellington using a prime fillet of our own organicly reared aberdeen angus beef, which was seriously good & just at that perfect place in between rare & medium, coupled with roast tatties, yorkshire pudding & carrots picked just hrs earlier. For dessert we had a choice of sticky toffee pudding or cranachan cheesecake. Ample wine drunk, world put to rights, much chocolate nibbled upon, it does you good to take a break from our almost constant working state just to eat, laugh and enjoy life every now and again.

Didn't get time to do anything in the sewing room other than iron a bunch of FQ's and a bundle of scraps ready for the next 2 planned quilts but we'll crack on with the cutting today & hopefully start sewing this evening. I'm planning a quilting trip to the city either late feb or early march and want to take at least 12 quilt tops with me to make it worthwhile block booking the gammil machine for 3 days, we have 3 done thus far, the tractor cuddle quilt is small enough for me to quilt out at home.

  1. I tried to reply to your comment, but you're a no-reply blogger. I've added your name to the list...thanks for sewing along with us! :0)
